Forms and paperwork – the most exciting part of being a Scout Leader.\u00a0 Not.\u00a0 This page is intended to make it a bit easier to complete this tedious but necessary task as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n

When are they required?<\/h2>\n

The AIF (Activity Intention Form) is required for all activities away from Pigeon Mountain.<\/p>\n

The RAMS (Risk Assessment) is required for all activities with an element of risk.\u00a0 Usually, if you have an AIF, you will also require a RAMS.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 If you are doing an activity in the den with an element of risk (e.g. sword juggling) then you’ll need a RAMS.<\/p>\n

There should be some historical documents in the Google Drive for your section to view as examples.<\/p>\n

How to fill in the RAMS form<\/h2>\n

There should be some historical documents in the Google Drive for your section to view as examples.<\/p>\n

The RAMS form is to demonstrate that you have considered as many possible things that could go wrong as you can, and have thought of ways to mitigate the risk, and to handle the problem if it occurs.<\/p>\n

For each area of risk – people, equipment, environment – list any risks you can think of, and then your plans to mitigate these.\u00a0 In the lower section, you put an outline of the procedure for what to do in an emergency.<\/p>\n

Accessing Google Drive<\/h2>\n

If your section has a Google Drive set up, then you can access this online.\u00a0 You will need a Google account to do this, and will need to have the folders shared with you.<\/p>\n
